The Story:

This is a stunning and special D-18 carefully hand-crafted in 2020 by the master luthiers in Martin’s Custom Shop with the sought-after golden-era Adirondack Spruce tone-wood for both the top and braces.

As it was made in the Custom Shop, where all the necessary time and attention is given to selecting the finest specimens of wood and to building the best guitar possible, it is exceptionally light and, therefore, resonant and responsive compared to a production-line D-18 standard, while the Adirondack upgrades provide the characteristic additional tonal dimensions and response. Another custom feature is the genuine mahogany neck as opposed to the unspecified “select hardwood” necks across Martin’s standard line-ups.

The top on this example also displays some beautiful bear-claw highlights and features a similarly good-looking mahogany back and sides.

Housed in the high-quality TKL-Martin OHSC, this guitar will be a special acquisition that will not disappoint.
